Is there a huge difference between these air models performance wise

I'd rather save the 80 bucks, but if there is a huge difference in performance between the 2 I could be swayed to get the other one. Any input from the experts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Only when using benchmarks or you want to shave off a minute or two from a 60 minute CPU intensive calculation.

Graphics performance is a decent amount.

Processor probably not much at all.

Just bare in mind the 2012 model does have USB 3.0 (if you use external storage at all).

thanks for the feedback! I think I will likely get the cheaper model then, main uses will be microsoft word, powerpoint, excel, adobe acrobat reader for reading PDFs, and the occasional use of photoshop to edit contrast on very basic images.
