You can find the iOS 7 user guide for the iPod touch and iPad..doesn't seem to be an iPhone version.

Yank the home screen down. Tug it. Try the center of the screen.

Thanks guys, I was swiping from the top instead of tugging from the middle of the screen.

I got some learning to do but LOVE 7.

After all these years it is a fresh look and lots of new features.

You should have got a pop up message after the installation stating where the search bar is.

I upgraded my mother's iPhone 4 just now and that prompt didn't show up.

I got it on my iPhone 5 when I upgraded it.

I did but have never used the term "spotlight". So I just got rid of the message. All is good now and I find 7 to be quite nice.

From all the messages in the iOS7 forum, some like and some will not. This is the biggest change Apple has made, ever, and you know there will be haters and lovers.

It is all good.
