I remember before 2.0 there was an app available that would make a separate Movies icon for your iPhone, similar to the iPod Touch icon. I've searched Cydia and have not been successful, and thought I should try here. Any help would be great. :)

I don't know of one on Cydia. Personally I wouldn't like one anyway. I would want my home screens to be any more crowded and I wouldn't want to put it in a folder, that would defeat the purpose of fast access to the Movies app.

I only have the bare minimum installed on my iPhone, I've hidden a few apps that I never use, like Stocks and YouTube, and I have 1 slot empty on my home screen I thought it might be easier to have a separate icon for Movies.

One slot meaning one spot on your Dock or one icon space on your home screen? I guess it would be easier to have a separate icon for Movies if you use that section of the iPod app a lot. But I still don't know of an app on Cydia that provides this.

No problem. If you find a solution to this or have another question, post here as others may want to hear the solution or may have the same problem.

I followed these instructions using Cyberduck:

After reading this I took a look at the Info.plist and managed to create one that should seperate the music and video app for the iphone.

    I attached two files:
Info.txt is the original Info.plist from MobileMusicPlayer (in case anyone needs it)

Seperated.txt is the new Info.plist that will give you a music and a video icon. Rename it to Info.plist and copy it into /Applications/MobileMusicPlayer.app/ to apply.

And now my iPhone is stuck at the Apple Logo. What now? iTunes won't even recognize it.

The moment I read those steps I knew something would go wrong like this. Ty this and it should help iTunes recognize the iPhone:

    Hard Reset:
    1) Power iPhone on.
    2) Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons for about 7 seconds, or until the screen turns black.
    3) Your iPhone should reboot. If it doesn't don't worry, just hold the Sleep/Wake button for about 2 seconds.

    Forced Restore:
    1) Turn iPhone off by holding down the Sleep/Wake Button for about 5 seconds or until the Slide to Power Off slider appears.
    2) Slide Power Off slider. If iPhone is unresponsive, follow the Hard Reset instructions up to Step 3.
    3) Open iTunes on your computer (Mac or PC).
    4) Hold the Home Button down while you connect your iPhone to your computer via a USB cable.
    5) iTunes should prompt you with a message saying an iPhone has been detected in Recovery Mode and that you must Restore it to before it can be used with iTunes.
    6) Click Ok.
    7) Click Restore a message should appear confirming that you want to Restore and Update.
    8) Click Restore and Update. The restore has been initiated. Leave your iPhone connected until you iPhone reboots and syncs with iTunes.
