Is there a problem with my sleeplight?

My brother has a blackbook, and whenever he puts it to sleep, the light (when it fades) goes completely off, then comes back on. I have just the normal macbook (white) and when mine sleeps, the light doesn't entirely go off. Is this a normal difference between the two?

Maybe it's because the case is black; as opposed to white.

Yeah, but I would think that if that were the case, the light would be more visible on the blackbook, as the contrast is greater..

i don't see why, even if it was normal, it would be cause for concern.

that said, my friend's black MB does not do this.

I don't know if that's normal for the black ones, but my white one acts just like yours!

I just did it to my Black MacBook, and mine does the same thing.
