I have an ipod touch 2nd gen. I am wondering if there is a reason not to upgrade to the newest OS and all the software fixes. Right now it is 4.2.1 (8c148)
I don't know if it is JB or not, I am not sure how to tell (bought it used). Any help is appreciated.

Wirelessly posted (iPod Touch 2G (MC): Mozilla/5.0 (iPod; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8C148 Safari/6533.18.5)

Since it's a 2nd gen it can't upgrade past 4.2.1. Sorry.
