I know it's possible to disable App Nap on an app-by-app basis. I wonder, though, if anyone is maintaining a list where this is necessary?

Have you come across any apps that App Nap is interfering with? If you would share the app name here, that might be helpful.

(fwiw, I've not come across any issues with app nap yet)

Remote Buddy - http://www.iospirit.com/products/remotebuddy/

Since it has no UI and runs in the background it gets put to sleep which causes problems. According to reports from the developer in the support forum. Disabling does seem to solve the reported problems for me. I use RB on my Mac Mini that is set up as a home theater server.

iTunes started stuttering when I watched videos fullscreen..
I disabled App Nap for iTunes and it went away.

A lot of people having the stuttering issue with Quicktime/iTunes.

Happy I found this thread - been having some sporadic issues here and there with some apps being... wonky after Mavericks was installed.

I'll report back if I find anything definitive with those apps...

Edit: shoot, that was quick, still having issues with those apps. :^(
