I was in a sunny spot today with mu touch (good screen) and noticed a small black circle 1.5-2 mm diamiter in the upper left corner of the touch. It is only visible in bright light. Can anyone tell me what this is?

I'm guessing it's just the sensor used to automatically control the screen brightness depending on the environment lighting conditions.

That's good thinking, that's most likely what it is. Does the screen brightness change if you put your finger over it?

even with mine switched on it dosent changed the screen brightness not matter what i do, turn the lights on, turn the lights off, go inside go outside, i think mine is broken

Same.

Probably a software issue.

These iPods have a buttload of software glitches and one major hardware glitch (The screen).
