I've been searching for days now trying to find a tweak to force Siri to audio out through the dock connector when I have it docked in the car. Is there a tweak somewhere for this, anyone know?

For the life of me I can't understand why this isn't a default for Siri since it is so useful to use in the car, just can't hear a thing it says over road noise as it comes out through the phone speakers. Obviously I would only use Siri when using voice control to evoke Siri.

Any help would be gratefully received.

Neil.

is your iPhone connecting via BT or hardwired?

Hard wired through dock connector, to my pioneer avh-8400bt stereo, with specific cable (the stereo can run apps like the pioneer appradio does).

Neil.

Edit:My calls are handled via Bluetooth.
I think I've realised the problem. Siri is treated like a voice call when docked, so sound is transmitted via Bluetooth. Problem is I don't use Bluetooth for music etc, so I'd have to keep switching to Bluetooth on the stereo just to hear Siri, any solution/tweak to change that? I'm betting not.

Hey I would like a tweak like this as well. I dock my phone in the car and listen to it through an iSimple cable to the CD changer of the factory HU.

I can hear the Siri based turn by turn through the car speakers and music, but nothing else.

This would actually be a very useful tweak and it will also prevent accidents and distractions because you wouldnt have to keep looking at your phone.

Are there any clever people amongst us who could make a tweak? I wouldn't have a clue how to do it myself.

Neil.

Count me in too, I would even pay a small price for it!

Maybe the app Flex could do it?

I'd buy too... but honestly....

I would make phone calls go through the dock too, just like skype does... if you use skype it will will output audio through the doc and use the speaker for mic... this would be a PERFECT way to have an in-car system w/o additional hardware.
