Is there a system log in leopard? My Mac just crashed

I'm Running OS 10.5, since I'm new in mac, can anyone please tell me where is the system log in Leopard? I've just receive an MSN 😡 trojan file 'hey.exe' and after that everything crashed. Thank god, I've stopped using Windows so no .exe can cause any harm but I like to know what was the cause.

Sure, of course there's a log. Open the Console app in /Applications/Utilities
