I may be misremembering, but I'm sure I saw a recommendation for an app that checks all the other (non-Mac App Store) software on your Mac for updates. In other words, it saves you having to open each individual app to go through the 'Check for updates' action.

I'd be so grateful if anyone knows of this! Thank you.
 
I use topgrade. It can update homebrew packages, cargo, npm, pip, macOS itself, neovim plugins, ruby gem, opam, vscode extensions and probably loads more

Latest is really good for this. Not as feature laden as MacUpdater, but free!
