General Is there a tweak like this?

I was talking to someone who has a BB 🙂p) and the main reason they wont switch is because of this feature:

If they put their phone on silent, they can set it so emails/calls/messages from a certain contact make a sound, but from other people it does not.


Is there anything like this on the iPhone?

I believe RingerX VIP in cydia does this plus much more. The dev,Yllier, is a great cydia developer. He created Fullscreen for Safari (iPhone and iPad), Adblocker, and ScreenDimmer just to name a few.

But RingerX VIP is incredible for someone who needs these types of features.

I think ios 6 accomplishes this with the new feature they call "do not disturb."

yeah, the DND mode is supposed to do exactly this.. though changing its settings etc can get a lil challenging.
