I was wondering if there is a water sensor like the one in the headphone jack in the USB hub port. I heard from someone there is one, but looked and dont see one. Is this true?

No. There is no water sensor in the iPhone. The iPhone has been opened up several times and nothing like that was found.

I don't think so.
Why, did you drop the bottom half of you iPhone in water?

Little bit, iphone was sitting on counter and spilled a cup of water on the counter a couple of months ago, and wasnt sure if the water got in the USB port on the phone.

Ya its been fine, happened a long time ago, just heard about a water sensor on the bottom and was wondering if its true.

You could always try shining a torch into all the nooks and crannies to see if anything looks red! Glad to hear your iPhone is fine and survived its dip.

the sensor is indeed in the dock connector as well, if you shine a light under the 30 pin dock connector, in the middle is a oval hole in where the indicator lies, shine it in the right light and you will either see white, or pink..

But theres none on the bottom right?

Edit to SchizoidWomans post, where on the bottom is the water sensor?

If you have ever taken a damaged iPhone into a genius bar, they shine a light in the bottom of the phone, I think its in the 30 pin connector for charging.

i got a red light turning on mine when i dropped it in the sink. i don't know where the water(liquid) sensor is though.
