Is there a way for Mac OS X to automatically open certain files after download?

I download a lot of NZB files, and I want to open them right after they're downloaded, always. I see no way to make it do this.

Is there an app that would do this for me? Preferably free.

Not sure if you're using Safari, but in Preferences under General you can check "Open 'safe' files after downloading" ?

You would then also have to make sure nzb files are considered "safe" something like this:
