Is there a way to change the default location in the open dialog box?

Title says it all. I'm needing to reassociate all of my ITMS tracks with itunes because it some how "lost" the file, even though it is still there. The steps are double click on the entry, select yes, select the music folder, type in the name of the track to search for it, hit enter. At 300 tracks even removing the need to change folders before doing a search, because the default is the Docs folder where there is no music, would cut this "project" down by a bit. I'm not seeing any apps to help on Macupdate. I know there is a way to do this for Grab but is there a way to do this for the default finder location?
Any help you guys have would be appreciated. Thanks.
