But! Maybe just take a break from MacRumours for a while and see how you feel down the line. Not all in this community are bad.
As in life the bad apples are the most loudly vocal unfortunately and, well, moderation can be a bit slack sometimes.

I know right? The number of people that wanted Twitter to remain the echo chamber cesspool that it was makes me also fear for the world! Distressing but I won't be leaving MR over the few that want to silence others.
Thankfully Elon will restore some sanity and firing Agwaral and Gadde was the best possible first step.

Hah, actually it's the opposite. Twitter doesn't need to be giving racists, bigots, transphobes, insurrectionists, and white supremacists a platform under the guise of "muh free speech."
Elon ain't restoring sanity, he's gonna make the place worse. I've already deactivated my Twitter account because frankly I don't want to be associated with it any longer and seeing how many people here seem to agree with the above sentiment, maybe I don't need to be here either.
It's been a fun, dang, almost twenty years. Peace out, indeed.

Within your account settings I believe there is a setting to turn off the political forums.

You’re going to have to realize that not everyone is going to agree with your politics. They’re going to say your opinion is wrong. If you can’t handle the political forms, just stay out of them. That’s what I do for the most part.
If you find something offensive on the Internet and never go to that page again, you might as well just not go on the Internet ever again because there’s offensive things to someone everywhere.
Just take a break, drink some tea, and then avoid the parts of the forms that bother you. As I said, I stay out of the political forms for the most part just because it’s bad.
I forgot about this and this is something I did a while back. It will save your sanity 😂
I couldn’t moderate the political forms, because I feel I would have to be politically neutral, while not being bothered by all the madness on both sides. Y’all couldn’t pay me enough 🤦♂️😂I wish I could😉
