Is there a way to disable the mute switch??

The mute switch is driving me crazy! It, pretty routinely, switches to silent when it is in my pocket. I purchased an app for $4.99 (SilentAlert) but that doesn't seem to work well. Any suggestions?

Small piece of electrical tap over it to prevent it from moving

Thanks. I was hoping that there would be a little bit more elegant solution. It is extremely annoying. I would have hoped that Apple would add it as an option in settings...

Do you use a case? Maybe get a different one that protects the switch better.
