Is there a way to extract specific backup or app from time machine backup ?

I had wallet app since last 6 years with all the passwords and everything.
Now it doesn't sync to dropbox and the owner of the app asked me to re install the app.

I reinstalled it and now the old data is gone.
I thought it should automatically move the data, but it did not.

Now how to get back the app data of an app which got replaced ?

And is there a way to extract it from a time machine backup ?

My time machine backup is there of last week too.
Let me know.

Whether the old data file can be read by the new version of the app depends on what the developer did.

You should be able to extract the data file if you know where it was stored with the old version. You'd just navigate to that folder, start Time Machine and pick the time/date.

You could extract the app itself the same way but there may be other files that were installed with it that are required for it to run.
