some of my plugins require that trick (control-click the installer, then open & install); but this is for the installer, not the plugin itself, which should work if it works now (all my plugins work in catalina).

am assuming we're talking about logic X

fancy seeing you here. :) thanks

If the plugins are properly signed and you have a developer account you can notarise them yourself. It's quite simple.

I don't have a developer account unfortunately and i'd rather not pay for it.

Is there a sure way to open them? I don't really mind bypassing notarisation, i know what software i'm using.

I had to bypass gatekeeper for a couple of small-developer plugins in the past, but supposedly it's not as straightforward on Catalina.

works the same as it did before; (basically) right click, open. anyway, i have a few plugins (newsonicarts, for example), that need to be installed this way. anyway, good luck, see u on the 'other' forum... 😉
