I'm using gmail in default app, and it doesn't push email instantly when I recieve it in my inbox, like exchange used to do. Is there a solution? I don't want to use gmail app.
This. Also Microsoft doesn't scan your email to push adverting at you.Migrate over to outlook. Com. ThTa what I did when gmail stopped supporting exchange. I use it for calendar contacts and email. All seems to work very well.
It will stop working if you get a new phone or recreate the account.Gmail pushes fine for me.
But then your read/unread status goes out of sync with Gmail, and I frequently use Gmail.com as well.Another thing you can do using Outlook.com is set it up to work alongside your gmail account. I have all my mail forwarded to my outlook.com account. Then in the outlook mail settings I set the default mail address to be my gmail account. So when I compose or reply it filters it through my gmail account. Works great.

It was from 30 January 2013: http://googleblog.blogspot.ca/2012/12/winter-cleaning.htmlWhen did this change happen?
Not if you copy of forwarded email mark as read in GMAIL settings.
I'm currently forwarding my Gmail to iCloud mail and push works fine, but whenever I send an email it sends it from iCloud. Is there any way to make it send from Gmail?
Thanks.
Or, you can forward all you e-mails to you icloud account (push is working on @me.com,@icloud.com accounts).
Yes, just add regular Gmail account in settings, and mark it as your default sending account.
