I'm using gmail in default app, and it doesn't push email instantly when I recieve it in my inbox, like exchange used to do. Is there a solution? I don't want to use gmail app.

Migrate over to outlook. Com. ThTa what I did when gmail stopped supporting exchange. I use it for calendar contacts and email. All seems to work very well.

This. Also Microsoft doesn't scan your email to push adverting at you.

Another thing you can do using Outlook.com is set it up to work alongside your gmail account. I have all my mail forwarded to my outlook.com account. Then in the outlook mail settings I set the default mail address to be my gmail account. So when I compose or reply it filters it through my gmail account. Works great.

Thanks for that, I just created outlook account, can you explain me how to set it up?

But then your read/unread status goes out of sync with Gmail, and I frequently use Gmail.com as well.

I changed my phone few days back and on new phone push was not working with same account on both phones.

I think gmail let you to "mark as read" every message they forward to other email address. Check forwarding option in gmail settings.

Or, you can forward all you e-mails to you icloud account (push is working on @me.com,@icloud.com accounts).

I'm currently forwarding my Gmail to iCloud mail and push works fine, but whenever I send an email it sends it from iCloud. Is there any way to make it send from Gmail?

Thanks.

Yes, just add regular Gmail account in settings, and mark it as your default sending account.

The problem is not with push, the problem is between Google and Microsoft over exchange. Google stopped push support on exchange accounts from january on new devices, new accounts or recreated accounts. It will still work if your are paying for your gmail account though.

I just noticed that gmail is not forwarding all emails.

Emails sent via Chrome on PC are forwarded, but emails sent from iPhone arent. wtf?!?

🙄
