Is there a way to know what configurations are available at my local store?

Also note that some configs are only ever available by order, while others are available in store, but may just be temporarily out.
The former will be noted as "Apple Store Pickup is currently unavailable," whereas the latter will be noted as "Currently unavailable at..." A subtle but important difference in wording.
Usually all the standard configs are available in store (unless temporarily out), plus a few of of the upgrade combos.

And with the Currently Unavailable At message, tapping on the Store location link, you'll get a list of nearby stores indicating their availability for that config. Works with the Apple Store app too.
I think the only ones that are at the stores are the ones shown on the website, and then the real expensive one, which comes with a M1 Max, 4TB ssd, and 64GB RAM. Don't know if there's other configs other than those.
There is also 14" M1 Max / 32 core GPU / 64 GB RAM / 2 TB SSD. Not shown on the website, but on of the standard configs available at stores.
I've not seen any of the 64GB configurations available in the store. I've been trying to see if I can find a 16" - no luck so far. Has anyone seen any?
In Canada we can get the 5 "standard" configuration (2 14in and 3 16in) in both colors. We can also get the 14in with M1 Max, 32GPU, 64Ram, 2TB and the 16in with M1 Max, 32GPU, 64Ram, 4TB.
So if you're looking for one of those configuration, just be patient and your local store will get it. I think that they get limited stocks so act fast ...

I've seen 14" Max/32c/64GB/2TB only once in our local store in Southern California. Actually, I haven't seen anything other than base 14 and 16 for a while now. In any case, none of the stock configurations worked for me, so BTO was a no-brainer.
