Due to the lockdown, I've been making a weekly video to send out to people.

I've been using FCPX and recording through there and while it works, it's constantly adjusting the exposure and color balance as I tilt my head, move my hands, etc and it's incredibly annoying. Can I just "lock" the exposure? Or set it manually? If not in FCPX is there another app on here that can do that? Thanks!

I don't know, but the camera is only 720p, not great.
I'm considering some apps like this
to use the iPhone or iPad camera as a webcam. Or you could record the video directly on an iPhone. In my experience is way better, I'm making a lot of video calls with my iPad these days and it is better than the Macbook Pro (and I use it in clamshell mode, so I can keep it closed)
That's a pity because the mic on the 16" is really good, but the webcam is just ok, but not great.

Yeah that's my exact reason I'm trying to avoid the phone route. It picks up my voice extremely clearly. It'll be a pain in the butt to record the audio seperate then try to link it all together late considering I do different cuts.
