Hi all, quick question.
I'd like to order files in one folder by name, but in other folders by date created. Is there a way to do this? It seems when i change the way they are ordered in one, then the same change happens in all other folders.

Thanks:)

What system are you on? In Leopard its just a matter of clicking the columns to get it to sort. However if you expand the contents of a folder in one window then you can't have two different types of sorting (one for the parent folder and a different sorting method for the child folder). You have to actually double click the folder for the sorting type to save.

Go to Finder > View > Select View Options > Arrange (Drop Down Menu)

...choose from there and the separate settings should stick for each folder.
