I was not referring to the SMS-app on my phone but to Messages.app on my computer that uses the phone to send SMS.
Maybe you want to repeat the question as a new thread in either the Mac forums here or one of the OS X forums?

You asked the question in a pre-existing thread in the iPhone forum. Can you therefore understand why others would assume you meant the Messages app for the iPhone and not the one on your Mac?

Yeah, I often get told off for waking people when I send a text late at night. I'm assuming their phone is switched off or muted, it isn't like I'm expecting a reply until the next day. Being able to schedule a text would be great.

Random but it is odd why people get mad for getting a late night text. Come on now...

But seriously - this needs to be an added feature. Would be sad if it isn't added for iOS 10
