I have a 2022 Apple TV HD and a 10+ years-old Smart Samsung TV. Just got a HomePod mini and ran the Apple TV sound through the HPM and really preferred the sound. Is there any way to accomplish this with the HPM and TV? I'm not interested in buying a sound bar at this time as we will be replacing this TV sooner rather than later, given it's age.

Despite having been manufactured in Sept 2010, I doubt it does. No 'ARC' label on any of the HDMI ports, but have sent a query to the Mfr. 🤞

eARC has only been available since 2017. I think you’re out of luck with your current tv unfortunately.

eARC is not necessary. Also works fine with ARC (introduced in 2009 with HDMI 1.4 I believe), but the bandwidth is lower. Works great using ARC on my older TV playing to a stereo pair of HomePods when playing on my PS5.

Samsung has confirmed no ARC on my model. Will have to wait 'til it dies, I guess. It is starting to show a light streak diagonally across one corner, though...;)

I hear if you remove the power cord just slightly (enough to stop supplying power but still looks connected), the wife thinks its broken and requests a new one.
😂😂😂
Unfortunately, we're in the middle of major renos here (kitchen & bath) so no $$ leeway for a new TV & Apple TV (since ours is only HD and doesn't have eARC)
