Ok, there was another thread here...the beta version of xCon does fix the DirecTV app...you have to add the developer's repo and install from there.

I can confirm that the beta version of xCon also fools TWC.

Just letting people know that this works. Just tested it on my iPad 2 with the Directv app.

The beta version of xcon fixed my issue with the directv app on my iPhone and iPad.

The beta version does not appear to work for Cox TV Connect, whereas the version available in the default repo (37-1) works fine.
