Is there any point in restoring or redoing your iphone?

Hi. I was wondering if restoring an iphone will increase the speed of my iphone. I've been installing and uninstalling a lot of apps lately. I know with the ipod touch, it occasionally got slower as I did more with it but not sure if this is true with the iphone 3GS as well?

hmm, just remove the apps u dont want, movies, videos u dont want..music u dont want, and get the app "system activity monitor" for like 2 or 3 bucks. and open it up, and click "free memory" and that speeds up ur iphone by A LOT, i use it all the time. its really great. see its free's your RAM, which means Random Access Memory, meaning the RAM's memory is randomly accessed, so therefore freeing the memory thats being accessed randomly, its speeds it up, because RAM is what gives your device, and computers speed.
