Hey there
Tell me if I can feel a tremendous increase in speed by switching from Macbook pro 13 (2017) basic configuration (Intel Core i5, 8gb RAM to macbook air m2 with 256gb SSD and 24gb RAM ?

Heard the new macbooks on 256gb ssd are slower. Will I feel the difference?
I actively open a lot of browsers and different pages every day, so for me it is important that the Macbook does not slow down.

Maybe I should look at other models based on my needs?
I was thinking of buying a Macbook Pro 14 m1 in the standard configuration, but the particular 24gb RAM air configuration seems much more interesting.

I look forward to hearing from you

Every aspect of an M2 MacBook Air will be faster than your 13” 2017 computer. Substantially so.

SSD speed: with your 24 GB model and stated usage - it's highly unlikely you'll experience any negative effects.

You will very much feel a massive improvement: battery life, speed, less heat, no noise, speakers, webcam, and keyboard.

I had exactly your 2017 macBook pro model previously ... now I'm on a 15" m2 air, which is wastly superior in all aspects.

I bought a 2018 13” MBP and even convinced myself to get 16GB RAM for “future proofing”.

HA! My $750 M1 base model MacBook Air runs circles around it.
