I want to upgrade my iBook from Panther, but don't want to put Leopard on it, because I know it will slow it down considerably. Is there anywhere that still will sell me a Tiger DVD?

There are plenty of copies on Amazon and eBay. Make sure you get the retail pack that looks like this, not any pale grey discs.

Have you tried calling the Apple store? I remember that they continued to sell Panther for a while after Tiger was introduced....they just didn't advertise it online so it was necessary to actually get on the telephone and call the store to get it

No apple store will sell these at all, they were all discontinued immediately during the leopard launch.

However, some authorized service providers may have them available.
