There are some books stored in the iBook cloud. I share this cloud with my family because we use the same Apple ID account. Is there a way to delete some books from the cloud? I didn't see a delete button.

I think you can hide them from your purchases if you go into your Purchased books. Just slide to the left on your iPhone like you would to delete it.

I must add I haven't tried this recently, but I believe it should work. I could be wrong though.

It seems that you can delete books from your device, you can hide your purchases, but you can't really delete them from the list

You can only hide purchased books, movies, tv shows, apps, and music.

Like they did with the U2 album? ;)

I think they created some special app to totally delete the U2 thing.

I still do not get why there is not a way to delete stuff you no longer, and never want to see again.

If there was a way to delete purchases, there would have to be a way to retrieve purchases that were deleted by mistake. Can you imagine the screams from people who want the item they paid good money for and then accidentally deleted?

can you make a petition to them so that you can delete the book permanently?

Would a petition work?

It would be really nice if they could delete the books…

Actually I can't even hide purchased iBooks

How did you ? :(

I figured it's the same way you hide music in iTunes. I just checked and it works.

You need to go to the iBooks Store on the Mac*. Find "Purchased" on the right sidebar. Here you can hide purchases from your account, just press the x on the books. This will make them disappear from All Books in your library. You may need to first delete the actually file by pressing select and pressing delete. If the book has a cloud icon on it, it will go away after you hide the purchase.

*I can't figure out how to do this from an iOS device. On iOS, iTunes Store has a way to do it from "Purchased" but not in iBooks.
