Well here's the issue. I was going to upgrade my friends HDD on Monday. Well she decided to try it herself. She got everything installed but lost her OSX disc. She has the old hdd in a external enclosure so I was wondering if she could boot her OSX off that until tomorrow when she gets a new SL disc.

Problem is her macbook pro has no OSX on the new HDD that's in it. She has to wait until tomorrow to get the disc. was wondering if there was a key you could hold or something.

my 2007 iMac's HD is failing so I've been booting OSX clone off a usb external lately. It works, just a bit slow.
