Is there anything that could happen in the 6s that could render 6 obsolete?

My ideas of what will happen in the 6s are:

    - optical image stabilization
    - better graphics (card?)
    - faster CPU (kind of not sure what a faster CPU is used for in these phones at this point)
    - 2gb of ram
    - 1080p screen

That would make an awesome phone but I wouldn't mind waiting a year to get it in the iPhone 7 because I like being on the non-s cycle so it looks like I'm rocking the newest gen because I'm vain like that. And if you think about it, the 6 is like the 5ss.

SO the question of this topic is, is there something ELSE that could make my 6 be like "wow I wish I had that and now I won't be able to use that awesome feature"?

If you're asking for hypotheticals then iOS 9 or 10 could make it where 2gb of RAM is a requirement to run smoothly, thus causing the 6 to become laggy and have a drop in battery life compared to the 6s.
