Does anyone know if there is nMP production in Cork/Ireland.
SFAIK they do BTO configurations for the EU, but do they assemble the entire machine or only change options if one requests special configs? Machines are usually signed "assembled in..." so maybe they do the laserwork also for Ireland...

Are Apple still making MP6,1s - or are they just running down the inventory of systems that didn't sell?

B&H still has a bunch of systems that they can't sell even at $1100 discount. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1021112-REG/apple_me253ll_a_mac_pro_desktop_computer.html

Not sure, but I heard of people with 6.1s with 2018 assembly dates. So I imagine, they are still in production,
even if quantity might be low. In Cork they are still assemble BTOs.
On the other hand, worldwide, there probably is some request. The B&H offer of the old version might be interesting for people who like this machine.

The cylinder nMP is assembled in Texas, U.S., at least the ones for sale in the U.S. They are still being manufactured. All or most other Macs are assembled in Asia.

Yes, right. And the european headquarter is in Cork, Ireland. They seem to have 6000 employes and assemble iMac sfaik.
I'm wondering if Mac Pro production as well? Because they assemble BTO versions for sure. In press or internet I read only about assembly in the US.

BTO is done evereywhere, on a local level ; I'd be surprised if they assembled any iMacs in Ireland .
You do know Apple only went to that country for the deal they got on taxes ?

Apple opened their Cork manufacturing facility to the press in the Summer of 2015 and Cult of Mac's article noted it was an iMac production facility.

So I am guessing Mac Pros are still assembled exclusively in Texas, though it may be a case where the case and internal components are made there and shipped to "regional" facilities that might do the final configuration for BTO options by installing the specific CPU and GPU model along with the RAM and SSD configuration.
