Is there no option to clear the mail search history in the Apple Mail client?

I was searching through my email for something, when I suddenly realized that three of my previous searches were there, with no apparent way to clear them. I'm on macOS 26.0.1 and using the Apple Mail client. I have OCD and I just like these things to not be there if I want to clear them. Is there something I'm missing or is this just something that they don't give you the option to do? I've already sent Apple product feedback so we'll see if that actually makes any difference. I doubt it. Thanks.

You can right click on each previous search and select "Delete".

Two fingers, usually.

That can be changed in preferences.

Thanks for that. I tried control click and it didn’t do it for me so I normally don’t turn on right click with a trackpad, but in this case I do appreciate it.
