Is there some sort of tracking device or software for MacBook Pro

A few months back my MacBook Pro was stolen. What a horrible day that was. I'm about to buy a new Mac soon and would like to protect myself this time by installing some sort of software or chip in my computer so that if this does happen again, I can track the computer and then cut off the hands of the thieve that tries 😉.

Any information about this would be highly appreciated.

For ~$45 you can insure a $2000 macbook pro from theft and accidental damage for a year (see my thread here). Seems like a better deal to me than trying to recover it...unless you really have some data you need to get rid of.
