Is this a good deal?

Hey guys, i just registered on MR, ive been a long time lurker so im hoping ill be about to contribute.

The Question: I can purchase a brand new sealed Mac book pro 13 2.66 with Apple care for $1150.

Is this a good deal considering this configuration is on its way out?

Would you purchase this set up at this price or just save your money and wait for the new release in the 1Q/2011?

Basically I wanna know is the price worth it for the configuration regardless whatever comes out next year?

My Usage: Surf the net, download music, make iphone movies with Ilife.

It is a good deal. Seems like you'll be using it for basic needs... so the next new model wouldn't matter much.

+1 ... very good deal for that machine brand new ... Advice ... check the serial # before buying. ... better to be safe than sorry.

And yes, always check the serial number if you are buying an Apple product from a party that is not an authorized Apple dealer.

Thanks for replys, I'm gonna pull the trigger and get it. I now need to decide to get a ssd drive or get a hybrid ssd drive. Any pro's or cons to either with this model MacBook.
