Is this a GPU issue?

recently when I go full screen while watching Twitch streams my screen freezes there are lines across and the computer completely freezes (track pad loses haptic feedback)

I have to hold power down to turn off and back on

of course I am out of warranty now, what does a GPU repair cost?

13" doesn't have a dedicated GPU, only integrated. So no, this is not a GPU issue.

ok thanks any guesses at what a problem like that can be caused by?

I also notice when I wake my computer I see a very brief infrared looking image, like how predator sees things

I can usually make out the image it almost like it was the last thing I was viewing before the MBP went to sleep

I am assuming you have upgraded to high sierra?? Do a google search there seems to be an issue with twitch and the iGPU on High sierra and twitch will probably have to update to fix the bug.

yes updated to the latest version of OSX 10.14.3 or whatever we are at
thanks that makes me relieved that its potentially just a twitch error, I will read that reported issues
