Hi gang,

I've noticed that for a long time now, every time I open my laptop (PB G4 1.67) to wake it from sleep, a totally blue screen appears first and then my desktop appears shortly after. I never really paid any attention to it, but was wondering if this a kernel panic and could it be doing any damage to my system or its files. Also, is there anything I can do about it? Could there be a utility somewhere it doesn't like that I added ages ago? Thanks so much for your help on this.

This is a Kernel Panic.

Your computer is just waking up.

Can't think offhand what it is, but it isn't a kernel panic. Panics dim the whole screen with multi-language information about what happened and instructions on how to restart. You won't be able to do anything else. Basically, if you get a panic, you'll know.
