A DNS Changer perhaps? A just-too-be-sure scan with iAntivirus wouldn't hurt.

I bet this is what it is. There is a list of certain DNS numbers you can check in sys prefs/ network to see if you've been infected. I cant find the list of them now. It happened last year sometime.
Most often it comes from porn sites, but doesnt mean it was from a porn site. It prompts for the user to install a required video codec to view something and the trojan is installed. If you google around you can find the details of it.
From what I've read you have to use a DNS removal tool, anti virus of some sort, or actually reinstall your os.

Yeah, I've had a similar problem back on Windows, getting random pop ups, sometimes appearing, sometimes not...apparently my neighbour's wireless connection (the one I was using) had been hacked or something. In that case, using OpenDNS did the job.

I would say that iAntivirus is perhaps better than that DNS Changer tool as it can detect severial variants of the malware (15 I think)

It's free anyway. Worth a try.

I don't know if there's already one, but there should be a thread about safe porn websites. I'd be happy to contribute :D

.. and it would be an epic 179 pg thread. ;)

No not in most cases. Half the time I would think they rent the movie but still not the point, is it ???

I own every movie I've ripped, so I don't know about that half number you claim ...

The point is that they are two different things. Telling people to torrent software, and telling them how to rip a DVD they own are two different things.
