Sorry, that Apple keyboard is not mechanical (no mechanical keyswitches)
Apple has not made a mechanical keyboard since the old ADB Extended Keyboard II.
That keyboard has not been sold by Apple since 1999.
Maybe someone else will provide an opinion about gaming.

Whether it is good for gaming or not, if you get one, expect it to need reinforcement for strain relief where the cable emerges. Mine died from cable rupture there. If I bought a new one today I would use Rescue Tape or something similar for that purpose.
I use this for gaming.
