The side button on my series 4 is pushed in and flush with the casing. On my s0, s2, it kind of stuck out a little.

Is your flush or is mine defective ? Ty

It’s not defective. It’s intentionally recessed, even if you look at previous photos of the Apple Watch Series 4, All the power buttons are like this.
