You're not actually buying it from AMAZON, you're buying it from an amazon.com merchant, which is actually a very different thing.

It's not "from" Amazon, it is from Eforcity Corp, Arcadia CA, who are advertising on Amazon.

To charge my iPod, I went to Fry's electronics and bought an unbranded USB port for $4. All it has is a wall plug, and a USB port on it, and it provides the standard voltage of an iPod charger, just doesn't say Apple or iPod on it So it was cheap, and works great! Seriously people, companies like to slap iPod on the product and raise the price tag.
