I mean. those 3 small white thing, the circle ^_^

I saw what you circled. I wouldn’t consider them scratches. It’s normal wear and tear for stainless steel. I have similar marks on mine. The only way you’re going to prevent minor imperfections is if you had never taken the phone out of the box and that’s not realistic.

Yeah that’s normal wear and tear l. Trust me don’t give it any thought and you’ll be happy . I used to be ocd with my screen with even those scratches on the coating. Now I don’t care and much happier using my devices

U may attempt to smooth them out with qtip+metal polisher, taking care not to disturb the glass/lens as much as possible. If u do scratch the glass, I am not responsible.

The apocalypse has arrived.

Yes, that is wear and tear to the finish. Get over it, seriously. If you are spending your life worried about that, you are likely neglecting more important things.

P.S. - Looks like contact marks from being used without a case.

In his defend though I did use my iPhone 7 without a case and never had any marks but I guess maybe it’s the single camera setup was glass with no metal bump ?

First scratch is always the worst; like a new car.

Something has made contact with that surface and caused the chips.

Could be from excessive cleaning, debris in pockets or surface phone is set on, etc.

As far as I know the anodized finishes for the 8 and 8+ do not suffer from chipping or flaking like the 7’s did.

Regardless - it is cosmetic and NOT covered by Apple’s Warranty or AppleCare+.

Yeah, probably because i'm so perfectionist when it comes to stuff. oh well.

Remember that devices are tools.

I don’t worry if my wrench gets a scrape. I don’t care if my drill gets a mark. I don’t care if you drag a crate against the side of my truck. And I don’t care if my watch gets a ding (which strangely never happens on my traditional watches despite beating the $#|+ out of them).

A tool is purchased to do a job. If it does the job, then it is useful. If it doesn’t do the job, then it’s useless.

If a tool develops a battle scar, then it’s character and illustration that it has been useful.

Any tool that I think I have to protect, is not a tool. That is a showpiece, and only there to look at and admire. And matters of pride have no useful function.
