iPhone 11 Pro Is this an iPhone issue or is it the headphones ?

The google assistant app and the Sony WH-1000XM4 uses LE Bluetooth to connect it to the google assistant app. But it wants me to pair every time I turn on the headphones and this is also the second set since I had to exchange my first pair for a different issue. Not sure which is at fault. I’m using an iPhone 11 Pro
