Hi, I'm just wondering if the '630-7689 A1117 quad G5 4x 2.5GHz CPU' is compatible with the '630-7431 powermac G5 quad processor CPU logic board'?

Since there was only ever one model of Quad made, I'd say chances are pretty good.

Be sure you get the LCS!

Yeah I get the liquid cooled heat sink with it, does that motherboard & CPU support up to 16GB of RAM or is it just 8GB?

16GB of standard DDR2.

All the quads support 16gig of ddr2, normal or ECC type.

All the quads support 16gig of ddr2, normal or ECC type.

Just be sure you pair ECC with ECC, and non-ECC with non-ECC. Otherwise, neither stick will be recognized.
