Because the iPad Air 2 Space Grey 64GB is 599 and your iPad 2 black 16GB is like 639 and its outdated. You can get a better price for a more updated iPad with more storage and better functioning software.

The iPad 2 was released in March 2011. It would make no sense to pay that price when you can get a refurbished iPad Air 2 for far less money.
