That guy is a DOUCHE for accepting but not a total douche cause he did not ask them to let him go first. I guess you could say he's douchebagging it part time.

For all we know, the Apple Store employee could have said something like, "we want you to skip the line to avoid turning this into any more of a fiasco than it's going to be without any famous people around."

This is what Jason tweeted later on:

Jason Bateman said:
There wasn't one boo. Not one hiss. The Apple guy brought me in away from the paparazzi. Period. I was content in line. I wish I'd stayed.

(there were some stories claiming he was booed at)

Your thread title is kind of misleading -- it made me think that he deliberately cut people, but the Apple store employee offered first. I can understand that people think that's low, but honestly, if I were in his shoes, I would have accepted the offer as well.

This is getting really old. I haven't experience it until now, but people need to realize that not everyone frequents the forum 24/7.

You know why it's getting old? Because every time someone is accused of bringing up old info they give some lame excuse that they don't spend all their time on the forums when they could have just searched. Seriously, type "Jason Bateman" in to the search bar.

I was in line and saw him walking up to the front. No one boo'd. This is LA. Happens all the time with celebrities.

Thanks for being the rationalist. He didn't do anything wrong. How do you think they have video of him there? Apparently TMZ and the rest of the paparazzi were annoying him so Apple let him through. No big deal.

You have got to be kidding me. Wow. I'm sorry I didn't think to search for JASON BATEMAN on MACRUMORS.COM. This website sure does take the cake.

Well, you were about to post something about Jason Bateman on Macrumors.com, so obviously there is a connection there somewhere.

Well ofcourse, but is it a COMMON CONNECTION? Is it on the same level as oh, lets say "I bought a 32 GB iphone and I only got 28.7GB!!? Lets think rationally kids.

As I was standing outside the Manhattan Beach store (third from the door @ around 7:30pm) I saw a guy slip through the front door security. The person in front of me told the door guys that were being distracted by something else. The employee went in to boot the guy. They talked for a while and the guy stayed. One of the other door guys said it was one of the Lakers and he comes in all the time. What a douche.

Well, considering it's days old news, days old news about the iPhone 4, days old news about standing in line for the iPhone 4, days old news about a specific celebrity standing in line for the iPhone 4, I would think it was common sense to do a search.

But clearly admanimal, badandy, and I are in the minority.

If you are so awesome with forums, you'd know the search functions never work! :p

Poor neglected and mis-valued search bar...

OK, let's do that.

Click "New Thread". What's that? A prompt to search for something? What was I going to post about again? Oh yeah, Jason Bateman. Let me type that in the search box. (Three seconds Later) Oh, look, a thread with exactly the same topic as I was just going to post about! Then I can choose whether to add to that topic or to not start a new thread.

Instead, you took the lazy way out and duplicated a thread. Is it the end of the world? No, and no one said it was. But are you now unnecessarily trying to defend your choice of not searching instead of simply saying "I'll just search next time" because you can't handle simple criticism/suggestion without getting all defensive and petty? Yup.

It kind of bothers me that the media blew this way out of proportion. I was not far from him in line. He got in line, wanted to wait in line. The problem was that people kept coming up to him and taking photos, etc so eventually the Apple rep pulled him out of line to prevent any more harassment.

Poor guy, all he wanted was to do was just hang out.

No i'm not lazy and I don't care about defending myself and can handle your criticism with ease. Why would I give a damn what some stranger on macrumors.com thinks. The only thing that frustrates me is the fact that you have no idea what kind of a person you are. Due to the rules of the forum, i'm not obliged to tell you, but I think if you take a look in the mirror, you'll realize what i'm talking about.

Poor guy? He got his iPhone before everyone else. You're the poor guy because you had to wait.
