i have a 4s. and i got this after browsing the web and listening to alot of music i also watched 2 youtube videos. is this good battery life for a 4s.

Lol..down the bottom of the screen it usually tells you the time since ur last full charge. Yours says it has been plugged in.

The question should be...How did you miss that? Lol

im kinda new to ios the last time i used an ios device was 2 years ago.

I get between 5 and 6 hours on a full charge. Check it when you hadn't plugged it in

no, it's not that great. It's not horrible... but... not super either (given that it's been plugged in since the last full charge)

mine just died a few mins ago, got 6hrs 45mins of usage over 48hrs from last full charge.

It also depends on what you were doing on the phone during this time. There are things that you can do on the iPhone that don't use the battery very much, like listening to music. You can really get a lot of usage doing that.

Yes usage can be very good listening to music. I can get 7-8 hours of mixed usage with music every time.

But I struggle to get more than 5 hours of pure 3G browsing and 2 days standby (airplane mode overnight with alarm set), maybe 5hrs 30min max.

Slightly longer with voice calls and only +7hrs with music.

That's all with leaving my phone on for 2 days

Can get over 40 hours of usage and standby time. Turn off wifi, turn off cellular data, loop a song and let it play for 40 hours

Both Usage and Standby times on my 4S show a " - "

This has been the case for the past few days, even when fully charged to 100%. Anyone know what this is and WHY my usage/standby times are not showing actual data?

Jailbreaking can do all sorts of weird things. I've seen this particular one happen pretty often.

If you respring your jailbroken device it'll do this. For some reason if you need to do a respring and want to keep your current battery stats then you can simply power off the phone (hold down power button then slide off) and when it turns back on you'll be resprung and still have your stats.

I think most of you have it pretty bad, this is from a iPhone 4 purchased on launch day and used everyday since.

My 4s battery is 21% and I have 6 hr usage and 15 hrs and a half stand by is that good?

I have been playing games surfing the web and listening to music all day

Yay, ANOTHER battery thread. There are hundreds of these already saying everything you'd like to know on the subject... which is, in a nutshell, that the usage and standby times are useless and all depend on how you're using the phone.

As mentioned, you could simply play music and get absurd times. Conversely, you could open up a GPS tracking program that requires data (ex. Waze), send it to the background, start playing Infinity Blade 2, and be lucky if you get a half hour.

It all depends on how you use the phone and there's no way for us or anyone else to know if you're getting good battery life based on just the Usage and Standby times.

********. Stop bragging/lying/trolling.

I got the exact same phone and I don't get that much battery life. I am lucky to get 8-10 hours at on moderate use. And on real heavy use not even more than 5 hours. You must have turned off wifi/bt/gps/cellular signal and looping a song for 6 hours.

Why do you do it? Whats the point of doing it? You want confirmation from others? I got the exact same phone as you and I know that its utter nonsense what you are posting. No one will ever get that.
