I noticed a weird mark/spot on the screen of my Xr that does not go away. It looks like some sort of image retention, but I don’t know what could have caused this.
And as it’s an LCD it should not happen and stay permanently anyway.

I only really see it that good on a grey screen. But it’s always there, just not as noticeable.
the purple line is part of the website ?

any ideas? I have a glass screen protector on it, but it does not change if I lift the glass.

thanks!

Is it a mark from the screen protector?

Also, I bet 90% of people don't read your post properly and think you're referring to the purple line.

Looks like the screen protector to me.
I guess I’ll remove it then and clean the screen.

I didn’t want to pull the protector off before I got a new one. But lifting it up didn’t help.

If you’ve since removed the screen protector and it’s still there, your next step is to take it into Apple although being LCD it’s a strange marking.

It's either the screen protector or dirt inside the backlight of the screen (possibly not).
