Occasionally I will be reading a website and then try to scroll down, but my screen will be stuck. Totally frozen. For several seconds I can't scroll up/down/left/right. I can quit the browser, it isn't like my whole phone is locked up but this happens on several browsers. Not just Safari.

This has been happening ever since I got the phone and three iOS updates haven't cured it, nor have clean installs etc. It doesn't happen all the time but it can happen on any website. There appears to be no rhyme or reason to it.

I have the same issue constantly. While I notice it in safari, it's most prevalent in the Facebook browser for me. Phone will constantly freeze, unable to pan the website, etc. Only solution is to press the home button.

While many will be quick to blame the 1GB RAM, I can't help but think this must be a software issue. While the lack of available RAM might be causing the software issue, I doubt this is an issue that can't be fixed with a software update.

I expect the next major iOS update to greatly improve the 6+ performance, because I think even Apple must be aware of some of the headache issues.

This is a 6+ issue, not a 6 issue interestingly enough. I had a 6 from release day until about 3 weeks ago when I got the 6+. While I enjoy the 6+ more and am satisfied with my purchase, the 6+ suffers from several performance issues (such as the issue above) that my 6 never struggled with.

Not seeing this issue on the 6. Perhaps you should switch to the 6 (or wait for the 6s Plus) if you're complaining about the 6+ this much?

You make it seem like my complaints are unjustified. Aside from the lovely screen and even more lovely battery life, the 6+ is by far the worst performing iPhone out of the four I've owned (*on their original versions of iOS). It's so buggy and one is never sure if it's hardware or software. The fact that the 5S and iPhone 6 don't appear to suffer from this freezing business whilst running iOS8 seems to point to hardware?

Possibly scaling issue?

I see this on my iPad 2 -- only after upgrading to iOS 8.

Don't see it on my 6+ at all though.

Very well may be. While one would not assume so, there are actually quite a few software tweaks that differentiate the 6 from the 6+. I imagine the scaling issue is one of many software tweaks prevalent on the 6+ that very well may be causing these browser issues.

I was thinking more along hardware issue, after all its a mobile GPU downscaling 3x resolution of the iPhone 5 to 1080p which wouldn't exactly be an easy task for something power limited.

I think I may have noticed this once on my 6+. Certainly not "constantly" as reported a few posts above. So a non issue for my 6+

I don't see anyone saying your complaints are unjustified at all. It seems to make perfect sense that if the phone is the worst phone you've ever had, maybe switching to a different model might help things.

That said, any lag/freezing issues I've been having aren't in Safari, but in Mail when bulk deleting junkmail. And it's not happening on my 6+, but on my iPad Air 2, with double the RAM.

This makes me also think it's a software issue, but seeing as people use their devices differently, some users will trigger it in one device, while other users will do it on others, and still others won't see it at all, or will on everything they use.

That said, there are only two alternatives really: restore from new, and if that doesn't work, either warranty swap that phone, or sell and get different model phone, like the iPhone 6.

After moving from Safari to Google Chrome on my iPhone 6 Plus I'm a much happier bunny for getting away from bugs like this.

Just a thought ! #

No same iOS 8 on my 5s has stuttering issues at times pulling up control center. It's mostly transparency that causes it. But 6+ does fair a bit worse.
